Huntsville Motherhood Photography in the Garden | Fauna & Film

At every Huntsville motherhood photography session, we get to witness (and document!) so many sweet, tender interactions between mothers and their children. Yes, we love to see the moments with dads too, but sometimes mama deserves the spotlight!

These images are particularly special to me because of who is in them: my sister and her daughter. Over the years, I’ve learned that the importance of trust and connection between a photographer and their subject cannot be overstated. That trust and connection allows us to create authentic, beautiful artwork that is truly custom to each client. And after knowing each other for all 25 years I’ve been alive, my sister and I have developed quite the rapport. ;)

One of our favorite prompts to help families create natural, intimate moments is simply “do an activity!” Activities you enjoy doing together can help keep you relaxed and grounded during your session, which always helps create beautiful final images.

For this Huntsville motherhood photography session, Robyn and Thea chose to braid each other’s hair with flowers from their garden at home. How precious?!

Many parents, my sister included, choose not to post their children’s faces online. But this session is just too precious to not share–and it highlights some creative ways to avoid showing a kiddo’s face in pictures.
