Our brand name, Fauna & Film, was derived from our collective nickname "Flora & Fauna," dubbed by our dear friend Rachel for our nature-reminiscent first names. Over the years, we have discovered that we are simply better as a team. By coming together and combining our skill sets, we are uniquely equipped to provide a highly personal experience that is tailored to each client. The attention to detail throughout our entire process allows a stronger focus on connection and creativity during our sessions.

MEET ROSE
MEET ROBYN
Rose's experience both behind and in front of the camera goes back to early childhood. Cameras and cinematography have been integral throughout her life, ranging from years spent in filmmaking education to creating educational short films for local government to modeling for Robyn's latest creative notion. Her experience with cinema has fostered a unique artistic approach, and her time spent in front of the camera has expanded her perspective allowing further connection & creativity as a portrait photographer.
Robyn's photography experience began in early elementary school with a small point-and-shoot digital camera from Walgreens. She began photographing senior portraits in middle school and weddings in high school. She eventually found her passion for film photography while studying experimental processes in the darkroom at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Robyn enjoyed several years working in the wedding photography industry until giving birth to her daughter in 2018 and shifting her focus toward family and motherhood photography.
Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama
Voted #1 place to live for families in the US back in 2022, Huntsville is becoming quite the melting pot. We are proud Huntsville natives and find our extensive knowledge of the city to be very helpful when scouting locations and collaborating with other small businesses. You'll often find us working at our favorite local coffee shop or hunting for our next Client Closet dress at a local boutique.

Film photography is integral in all of our work and, with over 10 years experience working with film, it is the root of our passion for photography. Film adds an unparalleled depth and richness to your story. It allows us to slow down and be intentional with every click. It is beautiful, nostalgic, and timeless, adding character, depth, and texture. We shoot various types of film photography for every single session, finding the unmatched quality beyond worth the added care and investment the medium demands.
