This Decatur family photo session in the Delano Park Rose Garden was a North Alabama family photographer’s dream. For a session with a family of five (plus another one on the way!), we went into this knowing it would be a little bit chaotic, and we were absolutely here for it.

This precious family includes twin 3-year-olds and their 1-year-old sister, and let me tell you, they were so much fun to work with. We spent the afternoon playing Red Light, Green Light and Ring around the Rosie, blowing bubbles, and just having fun with the kiddos—and we were able to leave the session knowing we also got some beautiful photos. When a family is having fun at their session, there are so many authentic moments that make beautiful photos.

We love running our photography business together, as a sister duo, for so many reasons. One reason is specific to family sessions—two photographers means an extra adult to act as child wrangler! At every family session, we like to take a few minutes to get some photos of just mom and dad. With both of us at every session, one person can spend that time focused on keeping the kiddos entertained, giving their parents the opportunity to be fully present in their photos together.

We had so much fun working with this beautiful family. Even though the weather was a little dreary, they brought so much sunshine and life to the session. I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as we enjoyed capturing them!
